Bluechip V4.3 Release Notes

The following information outlines the enhancements, modifications, and fixes contained in the Bluechip 4.3 update.

New Features

• MBS, DVA (RMFS), and Health Fees are now updated automatically.
• You can now create custom appointment types.

Improvements to Existing Features

• The Appointment Booking Audit is now updated every time an appointment is added, edited, or deleted.
• In the word processing templates, the Gender list now includes the Intersex/Other and Not Stated options.
• In the SMS Recall window, the From and To date fields now have calendar pickers. To enter dates in these fields quickly, click a calendar picker, then click the date.
• In the Help menu:
  • The new MedicalDirector Online Help option opens the Bluechip Knowledge Centre.
  • The BC Remote Assist option has been updated to https://get.teamviewer.com/medicaldirector-customercare.

Bug Fixes

• In the Appointment Book:
  • If you set up an appointment without selecting a preference, Bluechip display free slots that match the selected practitioner, appointment length, and start date.
  • In the Practitioner Setup window, the Appointment Types list now displays the same colours for appointment types as the calendar.
  • If you reschedule an appointment and click Time or Calendar, no error message is displayed.
  • The original Appointment Book and Daily Planner now display the same patient details as the Outlook-style Appointment Book and multi-recurring appointment.
  • If Bluechip is set up to use the Outlook-style Appointment Book and you edit an appointment, that appointment is displayed in the Outlook-style Appointment Book, not the Original Appointment Book.
  • In the Edit Appointment window, if you select a different practitioner, you must also select the appointment type. This activates the Finish button so you can save the edited appointment. The Priority is set automatically.
  • Rescheduled appointments now display the correct appointment type.
• In Today’s Patient, if you try to add a patient for practitioner who has no appointment types set up, Bluechip displays a message that no appointment types are set up for the practitioner.
• In the Recalls window, the To date cannot be earlier than the From date.
• When printing addresses on envelopes, the third line of the address is now printed.
• If Include Deactivated Practitioners is set when you print a report, the report now includes deactivated practitioners.

Technical Updates

• The Integration Message Broker and Adobe Acrobat Reader have been deprecated and removed from the installer.
• The installer now installs the ManageEzy components.
