ADDRESS.IN
Format for importing specialists' information.
The ADDRESS.IN file format is used to import specialist information into the Clinical Address book. The import is done with the Import utility in the MedicalDirector Maintenance suite.
The ADDRESS.IN file is an ASCII text file with each entry on a single line terminated by a carriage return/line feed pair (ASCII 13 + ASCII 10). Fields can be separated by the pipe character "|" or can be enclosed in double quotation marks and separated by commas.
Note:
- The Import feature checks the demographics for duplications and merges any that are found. This check is based on surname, first name, and specialty.
- The field sizes are the same length as those in Clinical. If the data is too long for the fields, it is truncated.
- If a field has no value, it must be left blank (not omitted).
