Upgrade Bluechip to the latest
release.
Before you begin
- Ensure that automatic updates and Windows updates are disabled during the
installation.
- Ensure any antivirus applications are disabled during the installation.
Procedure

On activating the installation, the Winzip Self-Extractor
message is displayed. Click Setup to proceed with the Bluechip installation.

In the Welcome screen, click
Next.

Read the Bluechip Licence
Agreement. If you agree with the Bluechip Licence Agreement,
select I Accept the Terms of the Licence Agreement and
click Next.

In the Select Documentation window, click the icon for
the documents you want to review, then click Next.
Note: You should read and understand the documentation
offered before continuing.

In the Choose Destination Location window, select a
destination folder for Bluechip
and click Next.
The default location for Bluechip and all its features
is C:\Program Files\Health Communication Network\Bluechip.
You can select a different installation directory if necessary.

In the Setup Type window, select the type of Bluechip installation you would
liked from the following options and click Next:
- Dedicated Server (Advanced option only)
- Stand Alone
- Workstation

If you have an existing database, it is automatically selected in the
Database Server Login window. Its login ID and password
are also retrieved. If you want to select a different server, click
Browse, browse to the server's location and select
it. Click Next.

Select the location of your ManageEzy database. The default location is
preselected. To select a different location, click
Browse, browse to the location and select it. Click
Next.

Confirm that you have backed up Bluechip. Select
Yes if you have backed up Bluechip. If you have not,
click Backup to back up Bluechip now.

Click Next. Review your upgrade settings. If these are
incorrect, go back now and make any necessary changes.

When you’re ready to start the Bluechip upgrade, click
Install.
Results
The upgrade starts. You can monitor its progress; once
complete, click Finish to close the Bluechip Installation
Wizard.
