Record replies to SMS Reminder Messages
Manually record a patient's reply to an SMS reminder message about an appointment.
Before you begin
About this task
You might choose to record a reply manually if:
- The message failed to send, for example, if the patient has opted out of SMS messaging or the practice has run out of SMS credits.
- The patient has not replied.
- The patient replied in an uncertain or ambiguous way.
- The patient replied to an SMS reminder by phoning the practice.
Procedure
- Right-click the patient's appointment in the Appointment Book.
- Select SMS Log by Appointment.

In the View Appointment SMS Log window, click the
appropriate button to record the patient's reply.
- Delete Appointment: Deletes the appointment from the Appointment Book. Click OK.
- Decline Appointment: Records that the patient can't attend the appointment. Enter the reason why the patient can't attend. Click OK. The appointment will remain in the Appointment Book.
- Confirm Appointment: Records that the patient plans to attend the appointment.
