Edit or Reschedule a Booking

Reschedule or change the details of a patient's booking.

Procedure

  1. Open the record of the patient whose bookings you want to edit.
  2. In the Patient Explorer, select the Bookings margin menu item.
  3. In the Patient Bookings window, select the booking that you want to edit.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. In the Edit Appointment Wizard, modify the appointment via one of the following methods:
    • Manually enter a date in the Date field.
    • Click the Calendar button Calendar button.
    • Find a free slot in the appointment book for the selected Practitioner by clicking Appointment Book .
    • Find a free slot in the appointment book for other Practitioners by clicking Find Slot.
  6. Modify the appointment time in the Time field or click the Clock button Clock button to select an appropriate time.
  7. (Optional) Modify the priority for the booking. This is necessary only if there is a double-booking.
  8. (Optional) Modify any relevant comments in the Comments field.
  9. Click Finish.

Results

The updated appointment details are now available in the Patient Bookings window and the Appointment Book.
