Bookings

Use the Bookings window to quickly view the appointments schedule for your patients, without having to search the Appointment Book. You can also use the Bookings window to create new appointments, or to edit, reschedule, cancel or delete appointments between specified dates.

Procedure

  1. Open the record of the patient whose bookings you want to view.
  2. In the Patient Explorer, select Bookings from the Margin menu. The Patient Bookings window displays all bookings that have been made for the patient, with the latest booking highlighted.
    • To create a new booking, click New. This opens the New Appointment Wizard, from which you can create a new single or recurring appointment.
    • To edit or reschedule a booking, click Edit. This opens the Edit Appointment Wizard.
    • To cancel a booking, select the booking that you want to cancel and then click Cancel booking. You will be prompted to confirm this action. The cancelled booking remains visible in the Bookings window with a black strike-through, but is removed from the Appointment Book.
    • To delete a booking, select it and then click Delete booking. You will be prompted to confirm this action. The deleted booking is removed from both the Bookings window and the Appointment Book. To display deleted bookings, tick Show Deleted Bookings. Deleted bookings are displayed with a red strike-through.
    • To call a window showing the audit trail of bookings, click Show Audit.
    • To print a list of bookings click Print. Also consider the Bookings Audit Report.
