Correspondence Tab

Create correspondence relating to the patient.

Use the Correspondence tab of the Patient Explorer to create new items of correspondence relating to the patient. These correspondence items can include letters, medical certificates, and operation reports, limited only by the types of templates you have set up.

The Correspondence tab also lists all letters that were created in the patient's file. You can edit, copy, export, and print the letters. You can also import rich text format (.RTF) files.

New letter Create a letter for the patient. You can create a letter only if you have been granted permission to do so via BC Secure.
Duplicate Duplicate the selected correspondence.
Print Print the selected correspondence.
Status Click to:
  • Indicate that you want the practitioner to review the correspondence. This option is available only if you associated an account with the correspondence when you created the correspondence. See Creating Letters for more information.
  • Defer printing of the selected correspondence.
Import Import a selected correspondence in RTF format.
Export Export a selected correspondence in RTF format.
Edit letter Edit the selected correspondence. You can edit correspondence only if you have been granted permission to do so via BC Secure.
Delete Delete the selected correspondence. You can delete correspondence only if you have been granted permission to do so via BC Secure.
Rename Rename the selected correspondence.
Show Audit Displays the records of when correspondence was deleted or edited.
